Another case of a celebrity’s unruly behaviour with a restaurant staff has come out. This time it pertains to Telugu actor Kalpika Ganesh for her misbehaviour with restaurant staff in Hyderabad.

Unruly behaviour by Kalpika:

According to the management of the restaurant which filed a complaint, she threw plates, abused, body shamed staff and also damaged hotel properties. They also claimed that she created a ruckus even after the police arrived.

The police registered the case against Kalpika with court permission under sections 324(4), 352, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The complaint also says that she was accompanied by a male guest whereby they consumed Rs 2,200 worth of food and beverages.

The controversy arose when, at the time of billing nearly at midnight, she allegedly demanded that a cheesecake be offered as a complimentary dessert. While the restaurant management said they offered a brownie instead, Ganesh refused to settle the bill, became aggressive and started to verbally abuse the staff.

The remarks by the actress also included derogatory and body-shaming comments.

The final escalation occurred when she threw the brownie plate. The FIR further says that she went live on Instagram and reportedly also made false accusations of rape and molestation on her social media.

Kalpika Ganesh made her debut in Telugu cinema with the film Prayanam in 2009. She has played supporting roles in popular films including Orange, Julayi, Padi Padi Leche Manasu and HIT: The First Case. She was also seen in two Zee5 web series titled Ekkadiki Ee Parugu and Loser.

A report was fired against the actor at Gachibowli police station for allegedly misbehaving with Prism Pub staff members in Hyderabad. The said incident happened on May 29 and the restaurant staff has alleged that she created a ruckus after she was denied permission to bring her birthday cake from outside.

A video of Kalpika’s argument with the hotel staff later went viral on social media.
