The event’s theme, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’, was embraced with bold flair. Making his Met Gala debut, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted in a sleek all-black ensemble, elevated with a dazzling selection of statement jewellery and a Bengal Tiger walking stick that turned heads. His look, steeped in swagger and mystique, instantly drew comparisons to his Don persona.

Priyanka Chopra, no stranger to Met Gala grandeur, marked her fifth appearance at the fashion spectacle alongside husband Nick Jonas. The actress exuded old Hollywood glamour in a striking polka-dot outfit with a detachable train and tailored coat. This ensemble subtly nodded to the theme while amplifying her signature red-carpet elegance.

The Met Gala 2025 witnessed a Bollywood wave where the red carpet was graced by the presence of icons, including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Diljit Dosanjh, Kiara Advani, and designer Manish Malhotra. But it was the sartorial choices of Shah Rukh and Priyanka that left fans swept up in nostalgia.

Don and Roma take over the Met Gala 2025

Despite arriving separately, both actors managed to set social media ablaze as fans began to draw uncanny parallels between their looks and the unforgettable characters of Don and Roma, from their cult action-thriller Don. The resemblance, whether intentional or coincidental, was not lost on the internet.

“Don & Roma have come back for a mission,” a fan wrote, while another chimed in, “DON & ROMA TAKE OVER THE #METGALA.” A third added simply, “Don and Roma forever and ever.”

It was revealed by Shah Rukh in an interview that his appearance at the Met was prompted by his children—Suhana, Aryan, and AbRam—who had expressed keen interest in the prestigious event.

SRK and Priyanka’s work front

Speaking about SRK, the Bollywood actor will star in the upcoming film King alongside his daughter Suhana Khan.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is starring in SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated project SSMB29, which also features Telugu star Mahesh Babu. Additionally, she will also be seen in Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena.
