Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning X reviews OUT!

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has sparked mixed reactions on X, with viewers praising Tom Cruise’s action-packed stunts while calling the plot “complicated” and “bloated.” Fans remain impressed by Cruise’s energy and the film’s explosive third act.

New Delhi:

Tom Cruise’s reprisal of the iconic Ethan Hunt character has been met with both admiration and nostalgia. Viewers have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express their emotions, with many declaring the film a fitting tribute to the legacy of the series. Particular emphasis has been placed on the 62-year-old actor’s seemingly ageless energy and daredevil stuntwork, which continues to draw awe across generations.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was released in Indian cinemas on May 17, six days prior to its global debut, and early reactions have already been set ablaze across social media. The eighth instalment in the long-running espionage franchise has been praised for its breathtaking stunts, though criticism has also been levelled at its complex narrative.

Mission Impossible X reviews

“#MissionImpossibleTheFinalReckoning in general is a satisfying ending to the franchise (if it ends) with lots of recalls of what Ethan Hunt has been through and his motto. Tom Cruise still runs a lot and as fast as 30 years ago 😄! There are still plenty of amazing action sequences. I like the third act the most but it took a well to get there. You have to be patient. No matter you like the plot or not, you will still admire what Tom Cruise did for this franchise over the years. #MissionImpossible,” a user shared in a detailed post.

Despite mixed reviews, the general consensus suggests that Tom Cruise’s unwavering commitment to the franchise has once again paid off. The film’s narrative complexity may have divided audiences, but its visual spectacle and nostalgic callbacks have ensured its place in the hearts of many longtime fans.

However, the reception has not been universally glowing. While the action sequences have been celebrated as “jaw-dropping,” the film has also been criticised for its intricate plot structure and pacing. A more reserved verdict was shared by another viewer, who commented, “#MissionImpossible The Final Reckoning is very complicated. Less action-heavy than you may expect and in many ways feels incredibly bloated. Exposition is handled better, and when the action is happening, it’s jaw-dropping. Some really high highs, but some really low lows.”
