Laad Bazaar get a new look ahead of Miss World contestants’ visit
Light arrangements, special lanterns are being installed on the 300 metre stretch of Laad Bazaar.

The area is being beautified, cleaned and decorated to welcome the contestants. GHMC is reportedly focusing on sanitation and patchwork repairs, plantation work while date palm trees have been planted near Petlaburj and City College.
Light arrangements, special lanterns are being installed on the 300 metre stretch of Laad Bazaar. Security has been tightened in the area and women police officers have been deployed for the safety of the contestants.
On Monday, Hyderabad Police have conducted a dry run for the event, followed by a visit to Chowmahalla Palace. Officials reviewed security, personnel backgrounds, traffic management.
Laad Bazaar, a famous bangle market in Charminar, Old City, is getting a makeover ahead of Miss World Heritage Walk set to take place in the evening.
Opening ceremony held with fanfare:
The opening ceremony of the 72nd Miss World pageant was held on May 10, with much pomp and fanfare at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. It was inaugurated by CM Revanth Reddy. India is being represented by Nandini Gupta, who hails from Kota, Rajasthan.
The 28-day event will showcase cultural heritage of the state, talent and social impact activities. Contestants are expected to visit Charminar, Ramappa temple and other cultural sites and participate in sports events, medical drives and other competitive segments.
