The Honeymoon Murder in Meghalaya has shaken the nation and caused an uproar on social media. Now, actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the gruesome murder on social media and penned a long note. The Emergency actress has called Raja’s Raghuvanshi’s wife “dumb” and called the crime “cruel, heinous, and cold-blooded”.

For the unversed, Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam were reportedly missing on May 23 while they were in Meghalaya for their honeymoon. However, it turned into a murder investigation after Raja’s body was found in a gorge near the Weisawdong waterfalls on June 2, and Sonam remained missing. According to the Meghalaya Police, it was Raja’s wife, Sonam, who planned the murder and conspired with her boyfriend, Raj Kushwaha.

She further added, “How cruel, heinous and above all absurd and dumb. Dumb people should never be taken lightly. They are the biggest threat to any society… We often laugh at them and think they are harmless, but it’s not true. Intelligent people may damage others for their own good, but remember a dumb person has no idea what they are doing !!! Be aware very aware of dumbness around you.”

Taking to Instagram Stories, Kangana Ranaut called Sonam “dumb” and said that the woman couldn’t say no to marriage but can plan a cold-blooded murder with “supari killers”. She wrote, “How absurd is this!! The woman can’t say no to marriage because she is scared of her own parents, but she can plan a cold-blooded murder with supari killers. This has been on my mind since morning, but not able to wrap my head around it!!! Uuffff getting a headache now!! She couldn’t even divorce or run away with her lover.”

A total of five people have been arrested in the case, including Sonam, Raj Kushwaha, Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand Kurmi. It was a local guide in Meghalaya who possibly helped crack the case and told police that the couple was seen accompanied by three male tourists on the day they went missing from Meghalaya’s Sohra area on May 23. The police later collected a bloodstained machete and a raincoat. The investigation in the case is still underway.
