It appears that Khan has since deleted the tweet after facing backlash from netizens, pertaining to his alleged silence on Pakistan’s military action on India, the last few days.

After a ceasefire between India and Pakistan was announced on Saturday, actor Salman Khan took to social media platform X to share his views on it. He wrote, “Thank god for the ceasefire….”

Escalations to ceasefire

Military escalations between India and Pakistan have been ongoing from the past few days, coming initially after India took action against Pakistan for the terror attack in Pakistan’s Pahalgam. 

A ceasefire between the two hostile parties was finally reached late on Saturday, reportedly mediated by the US.

India then launched “Operation Sindoor” targeting “terrorist camps” in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Pakistan on the other hand launched “Operation Bunyan Marsoos” with aerial strikes commencing from both sides. India intercepted most projectiles, while Pakistan admitted some damages from Indian strikes. 

Actor apologies

The actor deleted the tweet after some time. Many link this reaction to the fact that Khan was trolled after posting this tweet, as many questioned as to why he has not commented on India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ until now.

Another section of fans though think that Salman deleted his tweet because Pakistan allegedly violated the ceasefire some time after it came into place. Fans’ expectations and anger around celebrity reactions on major national events continue.

Actor Salman Khan shared a post after a ceasefire was announced between India and Pakistan, which read, “Thank God for the ceasefire….”.
