The Hindi film industry is once again facing a dry spell at the Box Office, with more flops than hits. Recently, the Salman Khan starrer Sikandar turned out to be a disaster at the ticket window due to its lackluster storyline, weak performances, and outdated narrative.
Now, at the trailer launch of Raid 2, actor Ajay Devgn opened up about the dull phase in the Hindi film industry.

A reporter even asked how he would manage if there was a raid in Shah Rukh Khan or Salman Khan’s home. Ajay Devgn responded by saying, “I will sit at home, and if there is a raid in my home, they will also sit at home —no one can manage anything.”

Raid 2 is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who previously helmed No One Killed Jessica. It is a sequel to the 2018 movie Raid and is set to be released in theatres on May 1. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. It also features Vaani Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla in important roles.
What did Ajay Devgn say about the dull phase in the industry?
Speaking to the media, Ajay Devgn said, “It’s not like only Bollywood films are not working today. This is the case with films all over the world. Some are not working, and some are really working. Bollywood, Hollywood, South, everywhere the situation is the same.”
He also added that the industry is not very sure what audiences will come in to watch in theatres, but they have an idea about how the audience has evolved and changed. He also opined that during the COVID-19 pandemic, there was too much exposure of international content, and the Hindi film industry is adapting to the change in audience preferences.
On Tuesday (April 8), Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Raid 2 trailer was unveiled by the makers. The trailer introduces Amay Patnaik, who confronts a powerful politician, played by Riteish Deshmukh, known for hoarding black money.
