Baba Sehgal revealed on Siddharth Kannan’s podcast about the underworld’s dominance in the Bollywood industry, and said that he was forced to leave the country along with his family due the safety concerns. Everyone was getting a call and being given instructions, and then eventually, I too received a call, and they told me to stop making music.”

He also recalled how Gulshan Kumar, the T-Series head, was killed in broad daylight by underworld gangsters in Mumbai. He further mentioned that since he was doing good work and was appreciated much by the audience, he was told to stop making music, indicating that the people in power were envious of him.
