iOS 19, Siri AI upgrades, macOS 16 launch date, how to watch live

Apple has officially announced WWDC 2025 from June 9 to 13, with a major keynote event expected to unveil iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12, and more. The online and in-person event will focus on AI features, Siri upgrades, and possible VisionOS design changes across devices.

The event will begin with a keynote streamed live from the company’s Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, and will be open to all developers and viewers online. This is Apple’s 36th WWDC, and expectations are high around what’s next for iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, and the newer Vision Pro platform.

Apple’s biggest software event of the year, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), is officially happening from June 9 to June 13. The announcement comes as no surprise, but it does mark another step forward for Apple’s growing focus on AI and cross-platform software experiences.

Keynote kicks off on June 9, streamed live for all

Just like previous years, Apple will open WWDC with a keynote on Monday, June 9. The session is expected to feature CEO Tim Cook and other senior Apple executives, revealing the company’s upcoming software updates.

The keynote will be streamed on Apple’s website, the Apple Developer app, and YouTube. Select developers and students will also be invited for in-person sessions at Apple Park, but for most users, the online stream is the main way to watch.

Apple is also expected to publish a detailed schedule of sessions and labs across five days through its Developer app.

iOS 19 and the AI buzz

One of the biggest reveals will be iOS 19, expected to roll out later this year. While Apple has kept official features under wraps, early rumours suggest UI changes across the Camera and Messages apps. There’s also a lot of buzz about Apple bringing its own version of “Apple Intelligence,” with more AI-powered features across iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

The voice assistant Siri might get a serious upgrade as well, with smarter language understanding and a more responsive user experience thanks to AI.

Could new hardware appear?

Although WWDC is mostly about software, Apple sometimes uses the stage to show off new hardware. There’s quiet speculation around a refreshed Mac Pro or maybe updates to its AI-related chipsets—but there’s no official word just yet.

That said, it wouldn’t be the first time Apple pulled off a surprise hardware drop during a software-heavy event.  WWDC has always been a peek into what’s next in Apple’s world, and this year feels no different—except maybe for the AI twist that’s been long in the making. With every tech company rushing to add smarter, more “conversational” experiences, Apple’s version of intelligence might finally take the spotlight.
