Yellow alert issued by IMD, rain likely till April 26

As per the forecast, Bengaluru is expected to get light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and squally winds on Thursday (April 24). Humidity is likely to be around 53 per cent during the day.

Bengaluru: 

The temperature is expected to stay between 23°C (minimum) and 34°C (maximum). The sunset is likely to occur at 6:33 PM, and the humidity level may be around 66%. The wind is expected to come from the south direction at a speed of 11 km/h.

 The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru as the city is expected to receive moderate rainfall starting April 23, 2025. On Wednesday morning, the city woke up at 6:03 AM with partly cloudy skies, and the same weather is likely to continue during the day.

Air quality today

However, some changes in weather patterns are likely to happen in the coming days. According to the weather department, rain is expected to continue from April 23 to April 26 in Bengaluru and surrounding areas.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a 5-day weather report on its official social media platform, X (formerly Twitter). It said, “Scattered moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in coastal, hilly, and southern interior parts of the state for the next five days. Northern interior areas may also see moderate rain with isolated showers.”

The city is expected to have around 51% humidity today. As per the IMD, Bengaluru’s Air Quality Index (AQI) is likely to be around 93, which falls in the moderate category. The weather will remain pleasant as light to moderate showers are expected in different parts of Karnataka over the next few days.

On Thursday, April 24, Bengaluru is expected to get light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and squally winds. Humidity is likely to be around 53%, and the wind is expected to come from the south at a speed of 10 km/h. The sunrise on April 24 is expected at 6:02 AM, and the sunset will be around 6:33 PM, similar to the previous day.
