X user requests Donald Trump to intervene

In a funny post on X (formerly Twitter), a Bengaluru based user jokingly requested help from former US President Donald Trump to fix two long-stuck projects in the city.

Bengaluru:

The post read, “Could you please talk to BBMP and ESCALATE Ejipura flyover works in Bengaluru? We’ll name it the MAGA Trump Flyover. And also to BMRCL for Yellow Line Metro trains in Bangalore.” The user even tagged Trump’s official handle, @realDonaldTrump.

A resident of Bengaluru used humor on social media to highlight the city’s poor infrastructure. In a funny post on X (formerly Twitter), the user jokingly requested help from former US President Donald Trump to fix two long-stuck projects in the city. They asked Trump to push the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to hurry up the Ejipura flyover construction and to also get the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to finish the Yellow Line of Namma Metro.

In another post, the user continued the joke, saying, “Stopping the India-Pakistan War is easy. If Trump really wants to prove he’s a strong negotiator, let him try fixing our flyover. That will show the world his real strength. Open challenge.”

The joke came after Trump recently claimed on X that he helped stop a fight between India and Pakistan. However, just a few hours later, Pakistan was accused of breaking the ceasefire.

Even though the Bengaluru user was clearly joking, many people found the post relatable. The comments section filled up quickly, with others sharing their own anger and humor about the city’s slow-moving infrastructure work.

The Ejipura flyover has been under construction for years, causing traffic jams and complaints from people who use that road. The Yellow Line Metro, which is meant to connect RV Road to Bommasandra, has also missed many deadlines.

While the original post was made in a lighthearted way, it clearly spoke to a deeper frustration many people in Bengaluru feel. Delays in major civic projects have become a normal part of life for the city’s residents.

This is not the first time someone from Bengaluru has used creative ways to draw attention to the issue. Earlier, another resident jokingly suggested that comedian Kunal Kamra perform under the still-unfinished Ejipura flyover. The idea was that maybe if a performance happened there, someone might finally notice the delay.

The user’s joke struck a chord with others in the city. Many jumped in with their own funny complaints.

One person joked, “As soon as Trump was told about the Ejipura flyover, he said the ceasefire might end, but this flyover will never be built.”

Another user wrote, “If you can convince BBMP to finish a project, you truly are a world leader.”

Someone else even tagged Trump again, asking him to also get BBMP to fix the Outer Ring Road and the Hoskerehalli flyover.
