World Whisky Day is celebrated each year on the Third Saturday of May. This year the festival will be marked on May 17, 2025. It is an occasion to celebrate the global recognition of whisky, rich heritage and craftsmanship to pour a spirit to good.

Whisky cocktail recipes
1. Yuzu Sour Whiskey CocktailÂ
Ingredients:
 60 ml of Japanese Whisky
15ml of Yuzu Pure
10 ml of fresh lime juice
15ml fresh egg white
Dehydrated & caramelised orange zest
Method to prepare:Â
Take a rock glass and drop in a block of ice; the block of ice enhances the drink by maintaining a consistent temperature for a longer, smoother and flavourful experience.
Pour 60 ml of your favourite whisky; however, the mixologist recommends using Japanese whisky for a balanced flavour of sweet and fruity notes.
Add 15 ml of Yuzu pure and 10 ml of fresh lime juice for a citrus kick. For a silky texture, add 15 ml of fresh egg whites.
In a shaker, combine all the above ingredients in a shaker along with ice first and then without.
Strain and pour the blend into your glass.
Garnish your drink with dehydrated & caramelised orange zest and enjoy your elegant drink!
2. Aurora Highball
Ingredients:
 50 ML 55 NORTH Rare Premium Whisky
10 ML Kaffir Lime Cordial (or fresh kaffir-lime-infused syrup)
15 ML Green Apple Shrub (apple cider vinegar + green apple + sugar)
2 dashes Celery Bitters
Top with Soda Water
Garnish: Thin slice of green apple & a kaffir lime leaf
Glass: Highball
Method to prepare:
Build whisky, kaffir lime cordial, green apple shrub, and bitters in an ice-filled highball glass.
 Stir gently to combine.
Top with cold soda water.
Garnish with a crisp green apple slice and a gently slapped kaffir lime leaf for aroma.
3. Butter Mushroom Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
45ml bourbon or rye whiskey
15ml maple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters or walnut bitters
Butter-washed mushroom bourbon
Garnish: Orange peel and cremini mushroom tuille
Method to prepare:
In a mixing glass, combine the bitters and maple syrup.
Add the butter-washed mushroom bourbon and fill the glass with ice.
Stir gently until the mixture is well chilled and diluted.
Strain into a Luigi Bormioli glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish with a twist of orange peel and a delicate cremini mushroom tuille for an earthy, umami finish.
