Sunny Deol joins forces with director Gopichand Malineni once again
Sunny Deol as Jaat is coming back to take the silver screen by storm with the next installment in the action franchise. Titled Jaat 2, the upcoming film will see Gopichand Malineni reprising his directorial responsibilities.

And it is happening! Mythri Movie Makers, the production banner behind Jaat, on Thursday (April 17, 2025) took to social media to announce the sequel to the much-talked-about action film. Through a special post on Instagram, it was revealed that the upcoming movie will see Bollywood actor Sunny Deol once again joining forces with director Gopichand Malineni.
The announcement has left fans beaming with joy. “Thanks, Mythri Movies, for this gift and surprise,” commented a netizen. Another wrote, “Biggest surprise of the year by MMM. All of us are waiting!”
Jaat Box Office collection
According to Sacnilk, early estimates suggest that the highly-discussed movie raked in Rs four crore on its eighth day in cinemas. If the number turns out to be accurate, then the total collection of the flick now stands at Rs 61.50 crore at the Box Office in India.
For the unversed, Jaat also reportedly features Randeep Hooda, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P Ravi Shankar, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan and Babloo Prithiveeraj in pivotal roles. It took the silver screen by storm on April 10, 2025.
The industry tracker further reports that Jaat has so far minted Rs 76 crore at the Box Office across the globe. Now, it is facing tough competition in theatres with the release of the Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh on Friday (April 18, 2025).
The film was edited and cinematographed by Naveen Nooli and Rishi Punjabi, respectively, while its music was composed by Thaman S. On IMDb (Internet Movie Database), the flick is rated 7.2 out of 10 with insights from more than four thousand users of the platform.
