Sachin Tendulkar hails PM Modi, Indian armed forces for Operation Sindoor
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Monday hailed India's armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their tireless efforts in safeguarding the nation after Operation Sindoor.
New Delhi:
Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar hailed the Indian armed forces for tirelessly protecting the nation and safeguarding the border, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership after the success of Operation Sindoor.
Indian armed forces conducted Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist launchpads and infrastructure across nine areas in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJ&K), in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22.
PM Modi also saluted the bravery of the Indian armed forces and highlighted how the precision strikes that were part of Operation Sindoor saw India eliminate over 100 terrorists while destroying terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and PoJ&K.
“When Pakistan reached out, they assured that there would be no further terrorist activity or military aggression from their side. Only then did India consider its response. I repeat once again — we have merely suspended our retaliatory actions against Pakistan’s terrorist and military targets for now,” said PM Modi in his address to the nation.
Operation Sindoor only paused, not over: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also declared that India has only paused Operation Sindoor after the ceasefire between the two countries, but that the operation is far from over. PM Modi said India will continue to monitor Pakistan’s every move closely and will give a strong response if required.
“Operation Sindoor had a team of over 1.4 billion rising in unison. Strong resolve and measured restraint, Team India! Remarkable teamwork across all levels led by tireless efforts of Hon. PM Narendra Modi ji and his team and the three defence forces. A special mention to the brave rakshaks and our citizens living in border towns and villages. Jai Hind,” wrote Tendulkar.
After PM Modi’s address to the nation, Tendulkar took to social media to hail the efforts of India’s defence forces and the Prime Minister. The Indian cricket legend said Operation Sindoor depicted the resolve of a 1.4 billion Indians and the Indian armed forces’ measured restraint.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation for the first time on Monday following the ceasefire between India and Pakistan and stated that India has set a “new normal” with Operation Sindoor in its policy against terror. PM Modi said India won’t accept any ‘nuclear blackmail’ and will take stern action against those who sponsor terror and terror outfits.
Following Operation Sindoor, border tensions escalated between India and Pakistan as the Pakistani army breached the ceasefire along the border areas across the Line of Control (LOC) and launched a swarm of drone and missile attacks on several north and northwest border states in India. However, India’s air defence system and the armed forces stood tall to thwart all threats.
