Realme GT 7 Dream Edition launch set for May 27

Realme GT 7 is set to launch on May 27 along with a special Dream Edition. Here is what should you expect from this special edition phone.

The teaser shows an F1 racing car covered with a cloth, which hints at a racing-themed design. Based on the previous such launches, it’s safe to expect this edition may get a few design tweaks, custom themes, and maybe even exclusive packaging. These could include a unique finish or back panel design, custom UI themes with a racing vibe, Special box packaging, maybe some wallpapers or sound effects that match the theme.

Realme is all set to launch its GT 7 series in India on May 27 at 1:30 PM IST. Along with the standard GT 7 and GT 7T, the company has also confirmed a special variant — the Realme GT 7 Dream Edition. However, the exact details about this model have been secret so far, but the tech giant has shared a teaser that gives a few clues.

Realme GT 7: Key Features You Should Know

Even if the Dream Edition turns out to be mostly about looks, the rest of the features are expected to remain the same as the standard version. Know that the GT 7 will be the world’s first phone to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset. Early benchmarks suggest strong performance, with an AnTuTu score of over 2.45 million. It packs a 7,000mAh battery supported by 120W fast charging, which is claimed to be charged up to 50% in just 15 minutes. There’s also reverse charging at 7.5W.

For the purpose of peaceful gaming, the phone features Realme’s new Graphene Cover IceSense Design which is expected to help with heat management. It also comes with a GT Boost Mode, promising better frame rates and lower power use.

It features a 6.78-inch display with a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits and rumoured to include a 50MP main sensor, a Samsung JN5 telephoto lens with 2x zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The selfie camera is expected to be 32MP.

Realme GT 7 Dream Edition: Where and When to Buy

The Realme GT 7 series, including the Dream Edition, will be available through Amazon and Realme’s official website. While pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, it may be in a similar range as last year’s GT 6, which started at Rs 40,999, reports suggested. However, we will need to wait for the official launch on May 27.
