Ranveer Allahbadia apologises after CM Devendra Fadnavis calls for action
Police complaint was reportedly filed against Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina after the latter's inappropriate remarks on Samay's show, India's Got Latent.

YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia  has apologised after he sparked controversy with his comments on Samay Rainaâs YouTube show, Indiaâs Got Latent. âMy comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. Iâm sorry,â he said in a video statement Monday.
Earlier in the day, police complaint was reportedly filed against Ranveer and Samay, as well as YouTubers Ashish Chanchalani and Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as the Rebel Kid, who were also a part of the panel of judges on the show. However, no FIR has been registered. According to ANI, the complaint has been lodged with the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Womenâs Commission. It accuses the YouTubers of using abusive language on the show and calls for strict legal action against the accused.

While interacting with a contestant on Indiaâs Got Latent, Ranveer asked, âWould you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop?â A video of Ranveer asking the question went viral on social media, with netizens calling him out for his inappropriate remarks.

Ranveer is widely known for his YouTube channel BeerBiceps, where he hosts a variety of podcasts featuring prominent figures from Indian politics, Bollywood, business, and the spiritual world. Some of the politicians he has interviewed include Smriti Irani, S. Jaishankar, Nitin gadhkari, and others. He has also hosted Bollywood celebrities such as Kriti sanon, Kareena kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Kajol, and more. Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi  presented him with the Disruptor of the Year award at the National Creators Award at Bharat Mandapam.
Ranveer Allahbadia apologises
Ranveer has now apologised for his remark. He took to X and shared a video of himself. He said in the clip, âMy comment wasnât just inappropriate it wasnât even funny. Comedy isnât my forte I am just going to say sorry.â He added, âI am not going to give any context or justification just want to give my apology. Had a lapse in my judgement. the podcast is watched by people of all age groups and donât want to take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would disrespect.â
