Actor Paresh Rawal has made a bizarre health claim in an interview with Lallantop. The former MP has confessed to drinking his own urine to cure himself and speed up his recovery after a knee injury. The veteran actor revealed that he drank his own urine for 15 days.

He further claimed that it worked for him so well that his doctor was also stunned nby his recovery. Let’s dive into further details!

Paresh Rawal confesses drinking his urine

According to Hera Pheri actor, it worked wonders for him when he decided to drink his own urine. He told Lallantop, “I had decided if I had to drink my own urine I’ll not have it at one go, I’ll sip it like beer. Because I want to do it properly.”

He added that he continued to drink his urine for 15 days, and when the X-ray happened, his doctor was shocked and asked him how did it happen as he could see a white line forming. He further said, “I was supposed to be discharged in 2-2.5 months, but I was discharged in 1.5 months.”

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal recalled being admitted to Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital in Mumbai after he suffered an injury in his knee. At that point in time, Veeru Devgn, Ajay Devgn’s father, advised him to consume his first urine of the day for a speedy recovery. He further advised him to quit alcohol, red meat and smoking for that time period.

Doctors slam Paresh Rawal

Paresh Rawal’s remarks went viral in no time, sparking debate online. Dr Cyriac Abby Philips urged people, “Please don’t drink your urine (or others) because a Bollywood actor says so. There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that drinking urine provides any health benefits”.

Another user named Dr Nimo Yadav wrote, “I think india will take a lot of time to achieve 5 trillion dollar economy due to people like @SirPareshRawal.”
