Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are back in conversation — and this time, it’s not just about electric vehicles. On Friday, PM Modi revealed via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that he spoke with Musk to follow up on their earlier meeting in Washington DC. The two reportedly discussed how India and the US can collaborate on technology and innovation.

Modi called the discussion “wide-ranging” and said it covered “the immense potential for collaboration.” India, he added, remains “committed to advancing our partnerships with the US in these domains.” While no new deal was officially announced, the tone and timing of the message have sparked buzz in both political and business circles.

A follow-up to their DC meeting

The PM’s post on X did not specify the topics in detail but hinted at continuity from their earlier talks. “We discussed the immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation,” Modi posted.

Back in February, Modi and Musk met during the Prime Minister’s US visit. That interaction had focused largely on Tesla’s India entry plans, Starlink satellite internet, and the broader scope of US-India tech ties. This recent conversation seems to be a continuation of that roadmap.
