PM Modi to inaugurate several projects
A number of projects across cities like Surat, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Junagadh will be launched today. Among the major highlights are the groundbreaking of Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront project in Ahmedabad.

The PM will also take part in the special event to commemorate 20 years of Gujarat’s Urban Growth Story. On the two-day visit to the state, the PM also laid foundation stones worth more than Rs 53,400 crore in Bhuj yesterday.
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects worth Rs 5,536 crore in Gandhinagar today. The projects will cover various sectors like Urban Development, infrastructure, water resource management, healthcare, and revenue services.
Phase 3 of the Sabarmati Riverfront project is among the major highlights
Among other Projects, the PM will also inaugurate the UN Mehta Cardiology Institute in Gandhinagar and lay the foundation stone for the Rs 588 crore IPD facility in Ahmedabad.
He will distribute cheques of Rs 2,731 crore to a total of 17 municipal corporations and Rs 569 crore to as many as 149 municipalities.
Earlier on Monday, the PM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for several projects worth more than Rs 24,000 crore at Dahod. He also inaugurated a Locomotive manufacturing plant for the Indian Railways.

He will also inaugurate more than 22,000 homes, which were built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, at the cost of Rs 1,006 crore.
Importantly, this plant will help in producing electric locomotives of 9000 horsepower for domestic purposes as well as for export. The PM also flagged off the first electric locomotive, which was manufactured from the plant.
