New Delhi: 

Doubts have surfaced over Mustafizur Rahman’s participation in the remainder of IPL 2025 as Bangladesh Cricket Board are yet to receive any approach for a no-objection certificate (NOC).

Delhi or the IPL are yet to comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, BCB are yet to obtain its country’s government’s clearance for their trip to Pakistan for the five-match T20I series.

Pakistan have sent a revised schedule to Bangladesh for the tiur after matches of Pakistan Super League was revised after escalation of cross-border tensions.

Reportedly, some Bangladesh cricketers have expressed reservations about playing in Pakistan in the current circumstances.

Mustafizur has already flown to Dubai with the Bangladesh squad, hours after being announced as Delhi Capitals’ foreign replacement for Fraser-McGurk.

Bangladesh are scheduled to participate in two T20Is in the UAE on May 17 and 19, after which they play five matches against Pakistan on May 25, 27 and 30, and June 1 and 3.

Delhi are scheduled to play their remaining three league matches on May 18, 21 and 24, and the play-offs after that should they qualify.

Mustafizur has been bamed in Bangladesh’s T20I squad for series against the UAE and Pakistan, match of which would clash with the schedule of IPL 2025, which resumes on May 17 and stretches till June 3.

The IPL was supposed to end on May 25 but got temporarily suspended amid rising military activity between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.

BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury has claimed the board is yet to receive a request for Mustafizur’s NOC even though the IPL on Wednesday announced that the left-arm seamer will replace Australia’s Jake Fraser-McGurk for the rest of the tournament.

“Mustafizur is supposed to go with the team to the UAE according to the schedule. We have not received any communication from IPL officials.

I have also not received any such official communication from Mustafizur either,” Chowdhury told ESPNcricinfo.
