The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov, has recently launched a national essay writing competition themed ‘Operation Sindoor – redefining India’s policy against terrorism’, which was launched on June 1, 2025, by the government saw an initiative to engage young minds and aware people about the Indian wealth and powers during the difficult times.

Essay Competition on Operation Sindoor:

Participants are encouraged to look at how Operation Sindoor symbolises a broader transformation in national security, covering themes such as:

Assertive diplomacy and military strategy

Redrawing India’s red lines against cross-border terror

The youth’s role in strengthening national security awareness

National unity through shared responsibility

Who can participate?

All the citizens of India are eligible for this competition. regardless of age or background. A student, working professionally, a defence enthusiast or a proud Indian citizen, anyone with great ideas and passion to write can participate and win if selected by the team.

Rewards for Essay Competition

The Ministry of Defence has announced exclusive prizes for the winners and also for the top performers to motivate the writers and inspire them to keep pushing for the country and their passion for writing.

The top 3 Winners will receive a cash prize of ₹10,000 each and a special invitation to the 78th Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort, Delhi — a front-row seat to history.

The top 200 Contributors will receive e-invites for themselves and a guest to witness the iconic ceremony at the Red Fort.

Operation Sindoor stands as a powerful message: India is no longer waiting to be struck first. Instead, the nation is taking proactive, strategic steps to dismantle terror networks and send a clear warning to adversaries.
