New Delhi: 

India’s top sports streaming platform Fancode has decided to suspend the telecast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

The decision from PSL 2025’s official broadcaster comes after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which at least 26 people were killed and many others injured.

What it means?

The decision will lead to significant financial losses for the Pakistan Cricket Board and also further worsens the ties between the Indian cricket board (BCCI) and the PCB. While the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently taking place in India, the Super League is also being held in the neighbouring nation.

The PSL 2025 kicked off on April 11 and all the matches till now have been available in the OTT platform Fancode.

According to a report in the Times of India, Fancode has decided to stop the streaming of PSL in India, effective immediately from Thursday.

Though the streaming platform is yet to release any official statement but reports suggest that it had been facing criticism on social media platforms since the attack took place. 

Since the reports of Fancode suspending PSL 2025 streaming went viral on social media, Indian fans have welcomed the decision.

In reply to the gruesome attack, India revoked all visa issued to Pakistani national and further suspended the visa services for Pakistanis in many of the measures which were announced after the terror attack.

In a statement from the government, it was also said that all the Pakistanis currently in India must leave before their visas expire based on these revised timelines.
