There have been several rumours doing the rounds, regarding the exit of actor Manish Goel from the hit TV show Anupama. It was alleged that his exit came due to differences with lead actress Rupali Ganguly. The actor in a conversation with come out and set the record straight.

 The actor clears the air:

Anupama actor Manish Goel clears the air about him quitting the show over an altercation with the lead actress Rupali Ganguly. Speaking to News9live Manish Goel said, “It is absolutely false and there was no altercation between me and Rupali. And I am not quitting the show till Rajan Shahi  breaks the news to me which hadn’t been told to me.”

He further added, “This is my 4th show with her in 25 years. We discuss kids and family. The fun banter among us is always about her wanting me to put on weight and I ask her to loose weight .So far … it’s been a great run with her honestly.”

When asked about his working relationship with Rupali Ganguly the actor was prompt to reply, “We have known each other since the last 25 plus years. We discuss scenes and share inputs when required.”

Earlier similar rumours of Rupali Ganguly not being on talking terms with another Anupamaa co-star Sudhanshu Pandey were rife, who later quit the show in 2024.
