The victim, identified as Jayant Shekar, had to undergo surgery whose cost was around Rs 2 lakh. His wife has registered an FIR against the first person, accusing him of threatening to murder. At the time of filing this report, no arrest was made.

In a bizarre incident in Bengaluru, a man bit the ring finger of another man to such extent that the latter had to undergo surgery. Why? The car of the second man mistakenly splashed rainwater on the vehicle of the first man.

How did it happen?

According to an NDTV report, Shekar said, “After crossing the signal, I noticed an i20 car driving adjacent to my car. A woman, seated on the passenger seat, started shouting at me. The man in the driver’s seat repeatedly asked me to stop the car. It had been raining, the roads were slightly waterlogged. At the time of the incident, it was drizzling. I didn’t realise when the water splashed onto another vehicle.”

He added, “The woman had her car’s window rolled down. Since it was drizzling, I requested her to roll up the window, but the couple kept verbally abusing me. Within minutes, the man intercepted my car.” Soon, the verbal fight became a physical altercation and the man took Shekar’s right hand into his mouth and bit the ring finger. The injury was so deep that he needed surgery and stitches. As per police, both parties may have been involved physically.

On Sunday night, Shekar, who resides in Magadi Road, was driving home with his wife, Parvathi, and mother-in-law after dinner. At around 9 pm, his car was near the Lulu Mall underpass, waiting to cross the signal and take a turn. He unknowingly splashed rainwater while crossing on another vehicle for which Shekar was allegedly assaulted and threatened.
