Lucknow cop slaps Colonel in front of family

A shocking incident in Lucknow saw a police inspector, Vinay Kumar Saroj, assault an Army Colonel, Anand Prakash Suman, after a road rage incident. The assault, captured on video, shows the inspector slapping the Colonel after driving on the wrong side of the road. The Colonel filed a complaint, alleging further abuse and assault. The police inspector is currently missing, and an investigation is underway.

In his complaint, the Colonel accused the man of assaulting him in front of his wife and daughter. He said that the inspector thrashed him when he questioned the officer for driving on the wrong side of the road. Anand Prakash Suman is currently serving as a Colonel with the NCC Directorate in Patna.

He further alleged that the man ran over his left foot with the vehicle. The complaint stated: “He started abusing me, and as soon as I rolled down the car window, he slapped me.” The Colonel also alleged that when he stepped out of his car to stop him, “he tried to crush me between his car and mine”. “He then ran over my left foot and fled the scene,” the army officer said.

 In a shocking incident that has come to light from Lucknow, a police officer stepped out of his car and assaulted an Army Colonel inside his vehicle on a busy road.

In the video that has gone viral, a man — a police inspector — can be seen driving his car on the wrong side. He gets out of his car and gives a hard slap to an army colonel in a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

Colonel Anand Prakash Suman registered a case against the police officer on Saturday when the incident occurred. The police officer is reported missing.

The accused police officer has been identified as inspector Vinay Kumar Saroj. The police said the accused cop is missing and his mobile phone is also switched off.

Deputy Commissioner of Police South, Lucknow, Nipun Aggarwal, said that a case has been filed based on the Colonel’s complaint and action has been initiated on the basis of the investigation of CCTV footage. The top cop assured that whoever is found guilty will be subjected to severe punishment.
