The decision was announced by Jaspal Chauhan, Secretary of the Ganga River Rafting Management Committee and Adventure Tourism Officer, who confirmed that the suspension applies to all rafting points, including Kaudiyala, Marine Drive, Shivpuri, Club House, and Brahmapuri—the last remaining operational stretch until Tuesday. “Rafting has been completely stopped from June 24 in view of the rising water level of the Ganga. Any violation of this order will invite strict action,” Chauhan stated.

The river is now flowing dangerously close to the ghats and embankments at key locations such as Laxman Jhula, Swargashram, Muni ki Reti, Tapovan, and Triveni Ghat. Water police and disaster management teams have been deployed to monitor the situation and prevent accidents.
