The Cyberabad police have registered a case against 25 Telugu celebrities, including prominent actors Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, and others, for their alleged involvement in promoting illegal betting applications. The case has been filed at Miyapur Police Station, as authorities intensify their crackdown on gambling and betting promotions by influential personalities.

According to sources, the accused celebrities allegedly appeared in advertisements and social media campaigns promoting these illegal apps. Authorities are currently examining the extent of their involvement and whether they were aware of the unlawful nature of these platforms.

The investigation was initiated following complaints about celebrities endorsing online betting platforms, which are prohibited under Indian law. Police officials stated that such endorsements contribute to the increasing prevalence of online gambling, leading to financial losses among the public.

The case has sparked significant debate, with legal experts emphasizing the responsibility of public figures in endorsing brands. While no arrests have been made yet, police officials confirmed that further action would follow based on the findings of the investigation.

With the crackdown intensifying, authorities have also urged the public to remain cautious of such betting platforms and avoid engaging in activities that violate the law.
