Superstar Jr NTR is on a roll with a string of high-profile projects lined up. The actor is currently shooting for War 2, which is touted as a major installment in Yash Raj Films’ expanding Spy Universe.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the action-packed thriller is slated for release on August 14 and stars Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, alongside the Telugu star, in pivotal roles. This marks NTR’s grand Bollywood debut and a much-awaited crossover in the spy-action genre.

Jr NTR’s upcoming movies list

At a recent event, Jr NTR addressed speculation surrounding his other projects and confirmed exciting updates. He officially announced that Devara 2, the sequel to his hit film Devara, is very much in the works. “Firstly, thank you for appreciating Devara and making it such a massive success,” he said. “There are voices suggesting that Devara 2 isn’t happening.

All I want to tell them is that Devara 2 will certainly happen.” Fans were relieved to hear the sequel hasn’t been shelved and that NTR will return to the project after finishing his current commitments.

Another big title in his lineup is Dragon, a collaboration with KGF and Salaar director Prashanth Neel. Though still under wraps, reports suggest the plot is inspired by the life of Chinese gangster Zhao Wei, who once ruled the Golden Triangle region spanning Thailand and Myanmar. If true, this could be one of the most intense roles of Jr NTR’s career.

More projects on the list

In addition to these, Jr NTR is also in early talks for a two-part film with the director of Hi Nanna. He also teased a project with Sithara Entertainments and producer Naga Vamsi, rumoured to be directed by Jailer filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar. While Jr NTR didn’t confirm Nelson’s involvement, he quipped, “I’ll let Vamsi deal with the fans when the announcement is out.”
