According to a resident, AK Bansal of KNG-1 tower, several complaints were made by residents of the complex for repair of plaster of the outer wall of towers during meetings  to get the issue addressed, but there was no action.

A large portion of plaster from the facade of KNG-1 tower in Jaypee Wishtown Klassic Housing Society in Noida’s Sector 134 collapsed on Sunday night causing severe damage to a parked two-wheeler at the entrance to the tower.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, which once again highlighted the residents’ safety and building maintenance concerns to the fore. The plaster apparently fell off from the 20th floor of the building. The incident caused a lot of panic among the residents.

Bansal further added in the complaint, “Had anyone been there at that time, it was difficult for the person to survive. This is a matter of grave concern with the safety of the residents as plaster of the outer wall may fall any time from other parts of the tower.”

Bansal has also shared pictures in his mail.

“I am a resident of KNG-1 tower. Earlier, we have made several complaints for poor quality of outer plaster of towers of our B-45 complex. Even after promises, no work was done. Today, a portion of outer plaster between roof and top floor has fallen. A two wheeler parked next to KNG-1 Tower was fully damaged due to this,” Bansal said in his complaint to the builder ‘Jaypee Infratech Ltd’. The complaint was also marked to Noida Authority & District Magistrate and Secretary of National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).

“I am sharing some of the photos of the damage. Please take appropriate action on top priority as all ongoing repair works are on halt following the takeover of Jaypee Infratech by Suraksha Group. This is in violation of the Resolution Plan approved by NCLT,” Bansal further said in his complaint.

The concerned authorities are yet to respond to the latest incident and the written complaint.
