Dhadak 2 first look: Siddhant-Triptii are ready to fight for love

The first part of the movie, Dhadak, featured Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, which marked their debut in Bollywood. The film and their performances were applauded by the critics and the audiences, alike.

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri starrer Dhadak 2‘s first posters are out, and they look intriguing. The makers, along with the posters, also announced the release date of the film. The posters also hinted at the intense love story, where they are ready to fight rather than die for love.

Dhadak 2 release date announced

Siddhnat Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri-starrer Dhadak 2 will be released in theatres on August 1, 2025. The makers also shared the two posters of the film, with the first showcasing Siddhant and Triptii hugging each other. It also shows intensity in Siddhant’s eyes as he is ready to protect his love. While in the other, Triptii tugs her face on Siddhant’s chest, depicting she feels safe with her love.

The caption read, “Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna (If you ever have to choose between dying and fighting… choose to fight).”

The movie is directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The movie was originally scheduled to release in November 2024 but was pushed to March 2025 due to certification-related delays. Now, it’s finally releasing on August 1, 2025.

The posters were released after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted a U/A certificate to Dhadak 2. According to a report by The Hindu, the approval came with the condition of 16 modifications in the film, including a dialogue that was perceived as a political reference. The censor board also directed to mute caste-based slurs such a s “bhangi” and chamar” along with several other dialogues.
