Kannada television and film actor Rakesh Poojary passed away at the age of 33 due to a heart attack. The tragic incident occurred after he attended a mehndi ceremony near Nitte in Karkala, Udupi district. According to the reports, he collapsed during the wee hours of Monday (May 12).

Now, a case of unnatural death has been registered at the Karkala Town Police Station. His sudden death has sent shockwaves across the Kannada TV and theatre industry.

Rakesh Poojary dies at 33

Rakesh Poojary emerged as the winner of Comedy Khiladigalu. One of the judges of the comedy show, Rakshitha, remembered him in a social media post and wrote, “The ever similing Rakesha…my fav Rakesha..the most sweetest kindest loving person… Namma Rakesha…will miss u, mange.”

Kannada TV and film actor Rakesh Poojary died at the age of 33 due to a heart attack after he collapsed around 2 am on Monday (May 12). After his sudden demise, his last picture from a mehendi ceremony that he attended has been going viral on social media. He shared the picture on Instagram Stories on Sunday night (May 11).

Who was Rakesh Poojary?

He has also appeared in Kannada and Tulu films, including Pailwan, Idu Entha, Lokavayya, Poetkammi, Ammer Police, Pammana The Great, Umil, and Illokkel. He has also been a part of several reality shows such as Bale Telipale, May 22, Star and Tuninaaye Poye.

Rakesh Poojary began his career with the theatre group, Chaitanya Kalavidaru and gained recognition in 2014 through the Tulu reality show, Kadale Bajil. He became a household name in Karnataka after winning Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3 in 2020. He was also a part of the runner-up team in Season 2 of the comedy show in 2018.
