The truth behind ACP Pradyuman’s shocking “death” has finally been revealed—much to the relief of millions of CID fans. The long-running crime drama recently made a roaring comeback with its second season on Sony TV, and its popularity is once again soaring.

ACP Padyuman is not dead

However, sources close to the production have confirmed to TV9 Hindi that ACP Pradyuman is alive on and off-screen. The character’s supposed “death” was nothing more than an April Fools’ prank that caught the entire fandom off guard. In reality, Shivaji Satam is simply taking a short break from the show to enjoy a vacation abroad.

Amid this wave of excitement, fans were left heartbroken after rumors of ACP Pradyuman’s death spread like wildfire online. Social media went into a meltdown when it was reported that the iconic character, played by veteran actor Shivaji Satam, had been written off the show. The news was followed by speculation that actor Parth Samthaan would replace him in the role, sparking outrage among loyal viewers.

Parth Samthaan in CID?

Actor Parth Samthaan will be stepping in with a fresh twist in the interim. He’ll play a new character—ACP Ayushmaan—who joins the team to unravel the mystery behind ACP Pradyuman’s disappearance while also working on other cases. Parth, who is returning to television after nearly four years, has reportedly signed an 8-day contract with the production team. He was previously seen on Star Plus’s Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

While his entry promises some gripping drama and plot development, his role is strictly temporary. Once ACP Pradyuman returns, Parth’s character will exit the storyline. Fans can expect a suspense-filled arc that brings both nostalgia and novelty to the show.
