BJP workers booked for vandalizing Karachi Bakery in Shamshabad, Hyderabad
RGIA town police said that there were no injuries after workers tried to break Karachi Bakery board with a stick.

The RGIA town police, who registered an FIR against the workers, said that the incident occurred at around 3 pm on Sunday and that the police team reached on time and no one was injured and no major damage occurred.
Inspector K Balaraju said “Some of them tried to break the board with a stick but we reached on time to prevent damage.”
The workers chanted slogans at the bakery and demanded a change in name of the bakery. A video of the incident went viral online attracting condemnation from netizens.
The protest comes amid tensions between India and Pakistan over the last week.
At least 10 BJP workers were booked for vandalising Karachi Bakery in Shamshabad, Hyderabad on Sunday, May 11, reports said.
Statement by Ramnani Brothers:
In a note, the company owners Rajesh and Harish Ramnani said, “The essence of Karachi Bakery is absolutely Indian by heart and will remain so. We request everybody to refrain from any kind of misconceptions.”
A similar incident occurred in Visakhapatnam earlier this week, when a mob chanted outside Karachi Bakery Vizag branch, demanding a name change.
Karachi Bakery was established in 1953 by Khanchand Ramnani, who migrated to India during the partition and is a company based out of Hyderabad. The company was forced to deploy security outside some of its branches in Hyderabad after the incident in Vizag.
