Abhishek Banerjee on Pakistan’s evolvement in terrorism

Abhishek Banerjee said that with evidence showing high-ranking Pakistani military general officials attending the funeral of labelled terrorists, there is not much evidence required to be proven.

Singapore:

Banerjee added that with evidence showing high-ranking Pakistani military general officials attending the funeral of labelled terrorists, there is not much evidence required to be proven. “You have so much evidence in the public domain where you see high-ranking Pakistani military general officials attending the funeral of labeled terrorists, where else do you see this? I mean, what else can we offer you as evidence?”, the TMC leader said as per news agency ANI.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee, who is part of the MPs delegation visiting Singapore, said that there is so much evidence available in the public domain of the Pakistan army’s close ties with terrorists in the country.

He added, “You need to amplify this further; flag this in your social media handles. I believe that in today’s time, social media plays a pivotal role, and Twitter threads travel faster than diplomatic cables. We need to up our ante as well.”

‘Oppn parties, govt in one boat on national security’

Further stressing that all Opposition parties and government are in one boat when it comes to national security, he pointed out, “A lot of people, especially the people who don’t follow politics closely, think that what will be the opposition’s stand when it comes to national security or sovereignty of the country. Where I might differ with the ruling dispensation or the political party, I will fight with them tooth and nail.

Since the tensions increased between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people lost their lives, India has sent several all-party delegations across the globe with evidence of how Pakistan is involved in spreading terrorism.

He went on to say, “ But when it comes to the national security of my country. I will stand firmly and serve what is in the best interest of my nation. I will not let my political interests come in the way of my national interest.”
