On May 7, Tej Pratap shared a post on X claiming he had undergone pilot training and was ready to serve the nation in the ongoing conflict, proudly displaying what he described as his pilot licence. However, the document revealed in the photo shared by him shows that he holds a Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s Licence (Restricted), not a pilot’s certification, leading to a barrage of trolling and humorous reactions online.

As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate following a deadly militant attack in Pahalgam and the launch of India’s “Operation Sindoor” on May 7, a social media post by Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has taken the internet by storm for all the wrong reasons. The post quickly drew attention amidst the heightened India-Pakistan conflict. However, netizens were quick to point out the discrepancy in Pratap’s claim, as the licence he displayed qualifies him to operate aviation radio communication systems, not to fly aircraft. This led to a flood of sarcastic and humorous responses in the comments section.

A user named Sannjay Ranna wrote, “Brother, we can’t stop laughing, who made you a pilot?? A pilot flies a plane, not a buffalo, and buffalo herding suits you better!”)

Some users took a more sarcastic tone. A user claimed Tej Pratap could fly a Rafale jet and had trained the Indian Army,  while another referred to his father’s infamous fodder scam, saying, “Just keep feeding Lalu Ji fodder on time, that’s enough”.

Other reactions ranged from playful jabs to outright mockery. A user called Tej Pratap a “number one patriot” despite his “nonsense,” sharing a meme from a Bollywood movie featuring a pilot and a politician, while another sarcastically dubbed him the “Future PM of India occupied Pakistan.”  Another egged him on, saying, “Teju Bhaiya, take a MiG-29 and enter Pakistan.”
