‘APT.’ frenzy overtakes Seoul as BLACKPINK’s Rosé joins Coldplay

In a moment that has taken the internet into a frenzy, Rosé, of the group BLACKPINK joined British rock group Coldplay on stage at a concert in Seoul as they came together to perform her global hit 'APT'

New Delhi:

Rosé joined Coldplay during their ongoing ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour’s stopover in South Korea’s Goyang Stadium.

In an iconic and unforgettable crossover, popular K-pop artist Rosé, of the group BLACKPINK, joined British rock group Coldplay on stage at a concert in Seoul. She performed her global hit ‘APT.’ to scores of rejoicing fans, with the concert’s video also going viral around the world.

An unforgettable collaboration

To the stadium’s surprise Rosé made her surprise entry in her singular style, as she entered the stadium’s catwalk in a bejewelled silver jacket. The stadium erupted as she sang the opening lines of her global hit APT, with the frenzy multiplied tenfold when she handed the mike to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who did not miss a beat as he sang the part performed by Bruno Mars in the original song.

Fans around the world have been ecstatic since the video of this massive collaboration dropped online, with one user commenting, “”Such amazing both are legend.” Another fan taking to Instagram said, Still feels unreal… @coldplay x @roses_are_rosie was everything we dreamed of and more”.

A global anthem

Originally released in October, APT., along with superstar Bruno Mars, marked a turning point in Rosé, whose solo career amidst her group BLACKPINK’s hiatus skyrocketed with the release of the song APT back in October of last year. The song became a global superhit, with many taking to Instagram to make reels to the tune, making it a classic and an anthem of the year.

“Apt.” marked Rosé’s first solo single in three years being an instant classic with its cross-cultural appeal. The song spent 12 weeks atop the Billboard Global 200, becoming Rosé and Mars’ second number-one single each and the longest-running number-one song of 2024.
