How to make moong dal chilla at home: Healthy and tasty recipe

Moong Dal chilla recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup yellow moong dal (soaked for 3–4 hours)

1–2 green chillies

½ inch ginger piece

1 tsp cumin seeds

Salt to taste

Water

¼ cup finely chopped onions

¼ cup grated carrots

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Oil or ghee for cooking

Chopped spinach or methi leaves

Grated beetroot

Paneer or tofu filling

Steps to prepare at home:

Rinse and soak moong dal in water for 4 hours.

Take a blender and add green chillies, moong dal, cumin seeds and a little water to blend well.

Prepare a smooth batter with pourable consistency.

Now in a bowl, add the mix and add salt, chopped onions, carrots, and coriander leaves.

Mix well to form a thick batter.

Heat the non-stick pan and add a little ghee to it.

Pour a ladle of batter and let it cook until golden brown.

Cook on medium heat for 3 minutes and flip it over.

Serve hot with green chutney or yoghurt for a healthy breakfast.
