Noida Constable Shot Dead in Uttar Pradesh
Constable Saurabh was fatally shot during a raid launched by Noida police team to arrest wanted criminal Qadir last month.

The arrested accused, Imran, a resident of Nahal village under Masuri police station in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad district, was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head. He was nabbed from a road connecting Canal Adda to Pilkhua in Masuri town, police said.
DCP Rural SN Tiwari said a case has been registered against Imran in Masuri police station and information about his criminal history is being examined. "A total of 17 people have been arrested and investigation is underway. Five accused are still absconding and efforts are on to arrest them," Tiwari said.
One more person was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a Noida police constable on May 25, taking the total number of apprehended suspects to 17 while search is on for five more accused.
Constable Saurabh Deshwal, part of the seven-member Noida phase-2 police team in Masuri area, was shot dead while attempting to arrest a wanted criminal, Qadir. During this, Qadir's brother Aadil and his associates started pelting stones at the police vehicle. An accused, Manta was nabbed but his companions opened fire and he managed to escape from police custody. Amid this, Saurabh was shot in the head and was admitted to Yashoda Hospital in Nehru Nagar, where doctors declared him brought dead. Qadir was handed over to Masuri police by Noida police team
Recently, Chandrashekhar Azad, MP from Azad Samaj Party, had reached Nahal village and met the local people. He demanded a CBI inquiry into this incident. "We have faith in the CBI and hope that the truth will come out after the CBI investigation. The constable should get justice," Azad said.
