Apple Foldable iPhone coming soon: Specs, launch timeline
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to enter production by late 2025 and launch in 2026. The device may feature a 7.8-inch internal display, AI-powered features, and a sleek foldable design.

Kuo unveiled the news that the major manufacturing partner of Apple, Foxconn, could start the project during the third or the fourth quarter of 2025. The display seems to be ready, although many of the components are still in development, and Samsung display is estimated to produce 7-8 million panels a year.
Apple is set to join the foldable smartphone game, with the first generation of the foldable iPhone likely to be produced in the last quartile of 2025. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst, predicts the highly anticipated device to release in 2026. This step is several years after rivals such as Samsung, Motorola and OnePlus launched their foldable handsets.
Apple Foldable iPhone AI features and price (expected)
The AI-powered tools, which will enhance multitasking and productivity, may be introduced with the foldable iPhone. Such features can be designed to fit the special foldable form factor and provide a refreshing user experience.
Regarding the price, the gadget may be sold above Rs 1,74,000 in India and above $2,000 in the US. Although it had been speculated that Apple could make as many as 20 million units, Kuo set the record straight and said that this number is probably going to be implemented in 2-3 years. Apple has not yet stated anything officially.
Apple Foldable iPhone display and build (expected)
The rumors indicate that the foldable iPhone will have an internal screen of 7.8 inches, and external screen of 5.5 inches. The phone could be as thin as 9mm when closed and as thin as 4.5mm when opened. It is also expected that the device will have dual rear cameras and front-facing sensors that can be used both in the folded and unfolded states.
